Clint Guidry, acting president of the Louisiana Shrimp Association, expressed concern that local government agencies would claim much of the money from the fund.
‘What Obama’s talking about sounds O.K.,’ he said. ‘But I want to know how much of the money is going to be left for my shrimpers. Before I can start praising Obama, I need to know how much of the money will reach the fishermen and the shrimpers.’
