Like most of his readers, I never knew Todd Drew in person, and he never knew me at all. However, after more than a year of reading his frequently-published short anecdotes about the Bronx and the Yankees, I can honestly say that Todd’s passing leaves me with a heavy heart. He was a first-class writer whose words and storytelling were so eloquent that they hardly belonged in a place as shallow and crass as the Blogosphere. Rest in peace, Todd.
